Polestar 5: first drive with Performance figures
The Polestar 5 is offered in Switzerland from 115’000 francs. The Performance version delivers 650 kW/884 PS and uses a 112-kWh battery.

The Polestar 5 is presented in the driving report as a 5.09-metre-long and 1.42-metre-tall electric Gran Tourer with 4+1 seats. The Dual Motor version is listed at 550 kW/748 PS and 812 Nm; it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reaches 250 km/h. The Performance version produces 650 kW/884 PS and 1015 Nm and completes the sprint to 100 km/h 0.7 seconds faster. At the front axle, Polestar uses a double-wishbone suspension, which Industrial Program Manager Anders Lundell describes as technology “directly from motorsport”.
Further technology includes a very stiff chassis, four-piston Brembo brakes, special Michelin tyres and, on the Performance, adaptive MagneRide dampers. The 112-kWh battery, an 800-volt architecture and up to 678 km of range are stated. The luggage compartment holds 365 litres, while the frunk holds 52 litres. Inside, information is shown on a 14.5-inch display in the centre console, supplemented by a 9-inch driver display on the steering wheel and a 9.5-inch head-up display. In Switzerland, the Polestar 5 is offered from 115’000 francs, with the Performance version starting from 135’000 francs. According to Lundell, an update is being considered for reflections on the frame of the head-up display; anyone who receives one of the first Polestar 5 cars in Switzerland and is bothered by it could have it replaced.
