Nissan Micra: Battery choice changes range and charging
The electric Nissan Micra achieves 317 km WLTP with 40 kWh and up to 427 km with 52 kWh. DC charging power and equipment also differ.

For the electric Nissan Micra, the battery choice covers 40 or 52 kWh, but it is linked to range, charging power and equipment. The 40-kWh version achieves 317 kilometres under WLTP, while the 52-kWh version reaches up to 427 kilometres; the difference is 110 kilometres. Consumption figures are close together: for the 40-kWh Micra, the ADAC states 14.2 kWh/100 km, while Nissan gives 14.0 to 14.9 kWh/100 km depending on the variant. At the fast charger, Nissan separates the variants more clearly: 40 kWh charges with up to 80 kW direct current, 52 kWh with up to 100 kW. Around 30 minutes from 0 to 80 percent are stated for the 40-kWh Micra; Nissan also advertises 175 kilometres in 15 minutes at the fast charger under suitable conditions.
Equipment also shapes the differences between the variants. Integrated route planning with battery preconditioning is available only from Advance. In the base version, navigation is handled via smartphone; the battery is cooled but not actively heated. The 40-kWh variant is offered as Engage and Advance, while the 52-kWh variant is offered as Advance and Evolve. In Germany, the Micra with 40 kWh starts as Engage at 26,290 euros, and as Advance with the same battery at 28,290 euros. The 52-kWh version starts as Advance at 31,290 euros and extends to the Evolve version for 33,190 euros. This means switching to 52 kWh is not only a battery swap, but is linked to higher charging power, different equipment and higher prices.
